Creating a healthy balance between work and pleasure is vitally essential when it comes to living a productive and happy lifestyle, no matter what profession you're in or what other responsibilities you have. However, it is not always that simple, particularly if you have a highly demanding job (Rolfe, 2021).

If you properly balance your work and personal life, you will gain additional benefits, such as those listed below.

·         Enjoy your work - If you've started to despise your job, evaluate why. Having regular breaks can often be all that is required to put it into perspective. If all else fails, it might be time to look for a new job...

·         Stop Missing out - Whenever it comes to what you sacrifice for your profession, pick your battles carefully. Working extra hard at work to get additional points is a terrific concept, but your social life and relationships should never suffer as a result.

·         You will be more productive - To stay completely functional, maintain a healthy balance of work, recreation, and rest. Because it's never a great idea to have too much of everything.

According to the, Greenhaus and colleagues (2003) further suggest that work life balance is defined by three key, and interconnected, components: firstly, “time balance” which refers to equal time being given to both work and nonwork roles; secondly, “involvement balance” which refers to equal levels of psychological involvement in both work and family roles; and finally, “satisfaction balance” which refers to equal levels of satisfaction in both work and family roles. Therefore, in order to achieve a work life balance these components should be considered.
