The process of establishing, organizing, and retaining goal-oriented actions is known as encouragement. It's what motivates you to move, whether it's having a glass of water to satisfy your thirst or reading a book to discover things.
The physiological, effective, relational, and conceptual factors that engage behavior are all sources of motivation. The term "motivation" is widely used during a common speech to express why someone does something. It's the force that motivates human behavior. (Cherry, 2020).
How to motivate and instigate the people

You can't simply be ordering people around again and expect each other to just do what you want nowadays if you're a leader of any kind. If you're looking, they'll obey your instructions, but if you leave them alone, they'll go back to doing what they think is necessary.
More than ever before, leaders must earn people's collaboration. There are two primary methods for obtaining this: motivation and inspiration. Although the two terms are commonly used identically, they have very specific meanings depending on your goals.
Motivating others to perform in a way that achieves a defined and immediate goal is what motivation is all about. When you're trying to convince individuals to do anything they will not do, you need to give them something they want in response.
Coaches use motivation when they give their players a talk over halftime. Even if they are too fatigued or demoralized to try, they want their players to charge back onto the field or floor with newfound enthusiasm and concentration. Their compensation? Victory. (Witt, 2021).

4 steps to motivate the people
1. Reduce the amount of time or effort you're demanding.
2. Contribute in the commitment.
3. Make a meaningful relationship with them.
4. Offer multiple motivations for individuals to do what you require.
When you talk about values, identity (either the company identity or each individual's identity), and long-term objectives as a leader, you intend to inspire, whether you acknowledge it or not.
Use 5 steps to inspire the people
1. Become the transformation you want to see in the environment.
2. Appeal the decision to people's values.
3. Make up stories.
4. Believe people.
5. Bring ideas to the test.
Doing the routine or exceeding expectations does not inspire people. They're inspired by the commitment, creativity, and sacrifice involved to see beyond what they thought was best.
Qualified presenters and preachers aren't the only ones who can motivate and inspire people. They're tools that leaders use all the time to bring out the best in their people — in one-on-one discussions, conferences, and presentations. It's simply an issue and being at the correct place moment.
